we call emotions feelings for a reason...

because we feel them in our bodies.

Somatic therapy is a form of body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body and uses both psychotherapy alongside gentle movement, meditation, and guided visualizations for holistic healing. Somatic therapy means we bring the body into the therapy room too which only makes sense since you are living life in your body and not just a floating head.

Here's what our time will look like together...

15 Minute Phone Consultation

This phone call allows us to connect and determine if we are a good fit working together.

Initial Intake Session

This is a 60 minute assessment where we will connect, dive a little deeper into what is bringing you into therapy now, explore your history, and set 1-2 goals to focus our work on together.

Follow-Up Sessions

These are 50 minute sessions where we continue exploring your live experiences, emotions, thoughts, and build a framework of tools to reach your goals.

frequently asked questions

Can I book JUST therapy or JUST yoga? Or do I have to be involved in both of those services?

You can book just therapy and just yoga. They are separate services. Many of our yoga students are not therapy clients. And therapy clients can be yoga clients.

Do you accept insurance?

We are out of network providers and do not work directly with insurance companies. All of our therapists are able to process Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We also can provide receipts for out of network billing. We each have limited sliding scale therapy spots and provide limited pro-bono session through Project Heal’s Healers Circle.

What is the process to getting to work with you?

The 1st step to becoming a client is scheduling a Free 15 minute phone consultation with your preferred therapist which allows you and us an opportunity to connect with each other and determine if we would be a good fit working together. 2nd step following the phone consultation is to schedule an intake session which is a 60 minute telehealth or in person session.

What are your fees?

Each therapist has their own fees for their services based on their level of expertise. Our rates on average are between $165-95 a session based on which provider you are working with.

What is holistic therapy?

Our holistic approach to therapy is a 360 degree view of your life. We take into consideration during your care: your lived experiences, systemic racism and oppression, physical, emotion, and spiritual wellbeing. We believe there are many paths to healing and are collaborative providers and achieve this though strong collaboration with additional providers throughout the community based on your individualized needs which could include: a psychiatrist, eating disorder dietitians, trauma specialists, yoga therapists, acupuncture, 12-step recovery programs, and other referrals as needed. If you have an eating disorder a team approach including a registered dietitian is best practices.

Do you provide telehealth or in person sessions?

We offer both! We are all currently providing both in person with COVID precautions and telehealth sessions.

Anxiety is your nervous systems response to chronic stress or fear. It may be   coming from something very obvious, such as a major life change or not getting a        good nights sleep, but it could also stem from undiscovered overwhelm - you               know, the thing that "everyone else is doing so why can't I?". Perhaps you're                   somebody who has always felt deeply and has experienced a life long                         undercurrent of anxiety. The goal of our anxiety work is to figure out how                     you can ground yourself and be present in the moment. Wouldn't it be nice to                  be able to embrace life with a little more ease?
If this sounds like you, schedule a discovery call.

Body Image

It may feel like loving your body is absolutely impossible. Between subtle messages we pick up from family members and constantly being exposed to media and what society dubs as the "ideal" it makes sense why the concept of loving your body is hard to grasp. But imagine a life where you could move your body just because you wanted to, you are able to live well without the thoughts of weight or your body size, and you'd just be able to be. If that resonates with you, schedule a discovery call.

Disordered Eating

Raise your hand if you've ever tried (and failed) at dieting. Yeah, our hands are raised too. And it sucks that so many of us were able to raise our hands. But here's the thing. The dieting industry has failed you. Majority of diets fail and instead of blaming the diet (like we should be doing) we blame ourselves, which sets us up for a lifelong battle
of failure and loss of "willpower". Having a healthy relationship with food is possible,
and chances are there's a lot more emotions connected to your eating habits than you think.
If you're sick of the negative food talk, schedule a discovery call.
