Areas of Focus

“I really appreciated how experiential the Embodied Clinician training was. Angela provided clear, grounded explanations of why we use somatic practices, along with practical, immediately usable tools for sessions. She intentionally built in time to practice the somatic techniques during the training, which made the learning feel embodied rather than theoretical.”

- Katie LPC, RYT -

If you're looking for a way to bring embodiment into your current practice for yourself or your clients this course is a fantastic option. There is a lot of noise when it comes to nervous system regulation and somatics and this course gives not only what do do but the why and the specific use cases. This course has already changed my clinical work for the better.

-Amy LPC

-Gina LCSW -

"This was a great workshop to go beyond the cognitive work! Every therapist who works with body image and EDs should take this" workshop!"

-Liz RD -

"AP Counseling's Compassion Circle could not have come at a better time in my life. It has been immensely helpful to my own mental health. Angela has such heart for others and it shows in the way she prepares for and shows up for each Sangha. Knowing I have a safe space to process with others and a time that is just" for me to breathe, meditate, and move is extremely relieving each month."

-Haliel RYT-

"You will receive extremely useful information to help guide educate yourself and be able to pass that on to your clients"

Angela Prior

  LCSW-S, E-RYT, YACEP, BSP Trained phase 2

I’m Angela Prior, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor and E-Registered Yoga Teacher. For over 16 years, I’ve specialized in complex trauma and nervous system regulation, and I’m passionate about bridging the gap between neurobiology and trauma-informed somatic practice.

I created this curriculm because I know firsthand the gap between a standard RYT-200 and the clinical reality of teaching in recovery spaces.

Even with my clinical social work background when I first began teaching in clinical settings, I didn't feel fully confident in my ability to handle the complex physiological responses of my students that felt in scope as a yoga teacher.

I developed this intensive CE training to provide the expansive toolkit and clinical confidence I wish I had from day one.

For Out-of-State Providers
Many state licensing boards accept continuing education hours from providers that are compliant with another state's regulations, particularly when the training is relevant and the provider is at reputable organization. Our programs, while designed to meet Texas requirements, often satisfy CEU requirements in other states that recognize Texas-based training.

We encourage you to always verify the specific CEU requirements with your state licensing board to ensure the training will be accepted for your license renewal. Your board is the final authority on what qualifies for continuing education credit.
